New training protocol

We are delighted to announce that training at BHKC will resume on Sunday 2nd August for juniors and adults. However, training will not resume for the Wednesday sessions. For now, we shall commence training at Highbridge Community Hall.

Sensei Nick Smith has compiled a list of new guidelines to follow for when we return to training:

Arrive on time dressed/in gi ready to train. (10am juniors, 11am adults)

There will be someone at the signing in table for Track and Trace purposes and you may be asked to complete a Covid 19 questionnaire.

Your temperature will be taken with a no contact thermometer.

Endeavour to bring correct training fee. £4 under 16, £4.50 for seniors.

Use the sanitisation equipment at the entrance.

You may wear a facemask and lightweight trainers if you wish. Please ensure that your facemask allows you breathe properly.

Keep socially distant in the Dojo. 1 metre plus at all times.

Currently only line-work and kata will be practised. No kumite or pairwork.

Currently no kiai to be allowed.

Spectators will be limited to allow for safe guarding only. Only one parent or guardian per student.

There is a restriction on numbers of students to an instructor.

If the toilets are used they will be immediately sanitised. Only disabled toilet to be used at the Highbridge Community Hall.

A separate exit to be used.

Time allowed for sanitisation between sessions.

As time goes on the above will hopefully be reduced to a more normal training regime.

However, there may be additions at short notice as the crisis is still very real.

We hope to see you there eager to train on the Sunday!
